Road Safety Grant awarded

The Parish Council has successfully applied for and received a grant of £2875 for another, solar powered Moveable Vehicle Activated Sign to be placed on the A43 and can be moved to other streets in the village as required in the hope of reducing the speed of some traffic. Read More...

Vandalism

Sadly, there has been some recent cases of mindless vandalism at the Playing Field. Benches smashed up and speed signs knocked over. If you have any information relating to who did this, please do get in touch. It has been reported to the police who are monitoring the situation. Read More...

Caretaker appointed

Jerry Rawlinson has been appointed on a self employed basis as Caretaker of the Playing Field and The Close. He will be doing an average of 10 hours pm on play equipment checks, litter picking and general maintenance tasks plus liaising with the users of the playing pitches and the Playing Field Management Committee. Dogs must be kept out of play area

There is a Public Spaces Protection Order on the play area that is fenced off and gated. No dogs are allowed in that area and it is an enforceable ruling that can attract a fine and possibly a ban. Read More...

The village has 2 defibrillators, one outside the Post Office and one outside the Village Hall. Anyone who has a medical emergency is instructed to RING 999 in the first instance and they will tell you if you need a defibrillator, where it is and how to access it. Read More...
